Who is Lucy?
Lucy Pincus is a 22-year-old International dressage rider and trainer. That recently had her first senior call up at Grand Prix. Lucy did not disappoint, coming 6th in the Kur in the CDI3* at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage.
Lucy is based with her parents David and Serena Pincus, just outside of Hereford at their yard Sheepcote Equestrian.
Lucy’s results so far:
Lucy has just stepped up to Big Tour Internationally, with Sheepcote Doncalisto (Donny), getting a well deserved 6th place finish at her first senior Team GB call up. Additionally, Lucy has been competing Donny and Sheepcote Fiesta (Fiesta) Internationally at U25 Grand Prix and Nationally at Grand Prix with Fiesta.
Sheepcote Just Daisy (Daisy) is Lucy’s young horse, who she is training through the levels!
What adds more excitment to this team is that all Lucy’s horses are home-bred by her Parents David and Serena Pincus at Sheepcote, and trained by herself!
Lucy’s 2019 Season started on a real high! Lucy went to the first Premier League Show of the season at Myerscough where she won both the Inter 2 and the U25 Grand Prix on Fiesta, and then came 9th in the Senior Grand Prix on Donny. Lucy was hoping the season would carry on as it started, and with her placing at Hartpury, we can say Lucy is definitely a rider to watch for the future.
As well as enjoying her competition career and training her horses, Lucy also loves to train riders of all ages and levels. Lucy regularly holds clinics nationwide. And loves to see her pupils achieve as Lucy says “It is so rewarding watching horse and rider partnerships develop and realising peoples goals and dreams”.

Sheepcote Fiesta (Fiesta)
Fiesta is a 13-year old 17.2hh Mare by First Heinrich out of Sheepcote Siesta. Lucy is currently campaigning Fiesta at U25 Grand Prix and Inter 2 and will be aiming to do all the Premier League shows this season, and hopefully an International call up. She is working at Grand Prix at home.
Sheepcote Doncalisto (Donny)
Donny is an 13-year old 17hh Bay Gelding by Don Schufro out of a Lucky Boy xx mare. Donny is working and competing at Senior Grand Prix Nationally and Internationally at U25 Grand Prix. Donny and Lucy had a great start to the season where they came 9th in the Grand Prix and 4th in the U25 Grand Prix at Myerscough Premier League.
Sheepcote Just Daisy (Daisy)
Daisy is Lucy’s young horse, she is a 5-year old Chestnut mare by Johnson out of a Furst Heinrich Mare. Daisy and Lucy are currently competing at Elementary, gaining scores of 70%+. Lucy says “I am really excited about Daisy for the future, she has a lot of potential, although she can be your typical fiery Chestnut Mare at times!”
